Top Book Picks: Our Favorite Picture Bible

Looking for a great way to familiarize your kids with the true stories in Scripture?

Let me tell you about our favorite Picture Bible for kids. Ours has seen LOTS of use.

This picture Bible has delighted all my kids. It’s written in the format of a comic book, but with stories from the Bible. The illustrations are pretty realistic.

I love the fact that each story ends kind of leaving you hanging to find out what happens next, which encourages kids to keep on reading.

It’s perfect for reading to the whole family, but also great for kids to pick up and read whenever they want to. It was one of the books we used for quiet time in our house. Each child, even if they were beyond napping would have a quiet time in their rooms. This is when kids old enough would read their Bibles, younger kids reading Bible story books and little ones would nap.

This book is one that my kids would read often, and I loved the fact that it familiarized them with the stories of the Bible.

My kids were VERY familiar with the happenings contained in the Scripture, which really blessed my heart as I grew up not knowing any of those true stories.

We have the older version that is now out of print. Sounds like they’ve added some new features to this new version including maps, a timeline, and more. It has the same colorful pictures though.

Contains 233 stories which make God’s Word come alive for young and old alike.
