It’s all about a baby and a mom and a dad. A young woman who gave her body and heart to the birthing and rearing of the most important child the world would ever know. And a young man who committed his life to training a son who was not his own. What a great lesson for us: the eternal value of raising children and the recognition that none of them belong to us. When we are gone they will live on without us. Only the godly training we have given them will be left to encourage them in their service to God.
Father, grant that we may not waste a minute of our precious parenting years!
Marilyn is wife to Rick, Mom to 14 children, Nana to 22 grandchildren (and counting!) and homeschooler for 37 years. She and her husband own Character Concepts which they started for the purpose of helping others raise children with a strong, godly character and Biblical worldview.They have developed character curriculumfrom preschool through high school, based on what they found worked whenteaching their own 14 children over the years.
