Borrowers Beware! ~ Tuesday Teaching Tips

FacebooktwitterpinterestmailFacebooktwitterpinterestmail

Tuesday-Teaching-Tips-ReadingWhen we took the kids to the library, I’d tell them to read the books they chose, but to watch for things that might not be true.

This was teaching them to be discerning readers.

If they questioned something we read, we’d search it out in Scripture or history or whatever it may be to see if the book was speaking truth or not.

Never be afraid to question!

To know wisdom and instruction, To discern the sayings of understanding” Proverbs 1:2

My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding;
For if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding” Proverbs 2:1-3

Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.” Proverbs 4:5
